About me

Hi! My name is Giulia. I studied Languages and Translation in Palermo for five years, and I have one year of experience teaching English, French, and Spanish in both high schools and after-school programs. In 2017, I spent a year in Minnesota as an exchange student with Intercultura, living with a local family—that’s where my strong English skills and my approach to teaching come from. I am empathetic and easygoing, and I never judge those who make mistakes; in fact, that’s exactly when real learning happens!

I want you to grasp the subtlest nuances, to smile at an Italian joke by catching the irony, and to speak without getting stuck. I’ll equip you with a whole suitcase full of synonyms, so you’ll never have to rack your brain again searching for that elusive word!

My method

No dull lessons here. Using films, songs, and excerpts from authentic novels, we practice listening, reading, and writing—learning to discuss any topic, from football to philosophy. At the same time, we work on grammar, phonetics, and pronunciation, so that one day, you might sound almost like a native speaker.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I need for the lessons?
    Just a web browser and a stable internet connection. We’ll meet via Google Meet or Zoom; the link will be sent to you before the lesson.

  • Do I need to buy a textbook?
    No. I use my own materials, tailored to your level and goals.

  • How can I pay?
    By bank transfer or PayPal. For larger packages, installment payments are also available.

  • What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?
    You can reschedule for free up to 12 hours in advance. If you cancel with less notice, the lesson will still be counted.

  • Do packages expire if I don’t use them all?
    Purchased and paid-for packages are valid for one year. Any lessons not used within that period will expire.

Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data of visitors and of people who book a lesson is processed, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Data controller

2. What data is processed

  • Data you send me: your name, email and the content of your messages when you write to me.
  • Booking data: name, email, time zone, date and time of the lesson and any notes, entered in the booking calendar (Calendly).
  • Payment data: handled by the provider you choose (PayPal). I do not see your full card number.
  • Browsing data: IP address and technical data, processed by the site's hosting provider (Carrd) and, if you load it, by the booking service.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Answering your requests and organising lessons: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Meeting tax and accounting obligations: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Operation and security of the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Loading the Calendly calendar: at your request by clicking the button; any non-technical cookies are based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Recipients of data

Data may be processed by providers acting on my behalf or on their own account, including: Calendly (bookings), Carrd (site hosting), PayPal (payments), Google and my accountant for tax purposes. Data is not sold.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). In these cases the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention

  • Emails: for as long as needed to answer and, if we start working together, for the duration of that relationship 3 months afterwards.
  • Tax and accounting documents: for the period required by law (usually 10 years).
  • Booking data: 3 month.

7. Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Providing data

Providing data is optional, but without the necessary data I cannot answer your requests or organise lessons.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. Last updated: 16.10.2026.

The calendar is provided by Calendly and is loaded only after you click “Load the calendar”. When you load it, Calendly may set cookies and receive technical data from your device.
